Lassana Diawara and his wife Alison Williams launched Lassana’s Landscaping in 2002. They’ve been one of the North Shore’s premier landscapers ever since.

The couple first met in a small farming village along the Niger River in Mali, West Africa. Lassana farmed rice on his family’s land, and Alison worked as an agricultural Peace Corps volunteer. In 2001, they moved back to Alison’s hometown of Marblehead, where Lassana worked for a couple of years at Kipp’s Greenhouses.  It was there that he met some of his first landscaping customers and began to grow the business.

Over the years, word of mouth has been their best advertisement. With keen attention to detail and customer service, Lassana and Alison have built their business on referrals in Marblehead, Swampscott, Salem, Nahant, Beverly, and Lynn.  With a staff of about 16 employees now, Lassana’s can take on any size project, big or small.
